It was his passion to be a model. When he attained his mission of being a model, he got interested in showing his acting skills in the film industry. Before he hit the big screen, he was part of several advertisements like Levis and also part of various theaters. When he came up a little short in acting, he decided to take a break from modeling and move to acting.
He became notable when he got a role in popular movies like Dangal and Judwaa 2. He attained his smartness and name all for his diversity in acting in films and various television shows.
He has a body that is completely fit and healthy and with great muscles, he has a tattoo of a tiger on his left arm.

He was at first a model by passion and when he grew up with his acting skills, he took a break for a while from modeling and went on to act as his main career. He first appeared in a Television show named Kyunki Saas Bhi Khabi Bahu Thi which was telecasted in the year 2005.

Later in 2007, he got the opportunity to make a debut with Shah Rukh Khan in the movie Chak De India. When he started his career in acting, he got opportunities in movies like Dangal, Judwaa2, Amavas, Katti Batti, and so on. During the year 2016, he appeared as a contestant in a reality show named Khatron Ke Khiladi.
When we talk about his education, he was fully born and brought up in Mumbai and is from a pure Hindu family. In many interviews, he has never spoken about his family and their history.
He spent his childhood schooling at Maneckji Cooper Education Trust School in Mumbai, and his graduation, he completed at the University of Mumbai.
He pursued his Masters in Business Administration and also did a short course in Photography where he has a small interest to learn about photo shoots and photographic skills.
Earlier when he was a model, he appeared in a few Hindi music videos, and there he participated in the Mr. India contest, and finally, he won the title.

Even at the age of 44, he still looks smart and young, both in heart and body. He has been married to Nikhila Palat, who is a businesswoman. They got married in 2007. They both have a daughter whom they named Nivaya Bhatena, who is just 4 years old.
