Sachin Pilgaonkar, famously known by his screen name Sachin was born on 17 August 1957 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He is known for his fine skills as an Actor, Director, Producer, Writer, and Singer.
Sachin Pilgaonkar Early Life and Background: Sachin was born to a Saraswat Brahmin family in Mumbai and originally his family was from Pilgaon, Goa. His father Sharad Pilgaonkar was a film producer. And also had a printing business in Mumbai.

Sachin is married to Supriya Pilgaonkar who is also a famous actress. Sachin debuted as a director in a movie named “Navri Mile Navryala” which starred Supriya Pilgaonkar in 1984. The pair gained a lot of success for their roles in Marathi cinema. The couple has a daughter named Shriya Pilgaonkar.

He was to be cast in Madhavrao Shinde’s “Soonbai” in 1961 but the plans did not work out. Started his career as a child artist. He was then selected for a Marathi movie “Ha Maza Marg Ekla” at the age of 4 in 1962.
Some of his successful movies are Geet Gata Chal, Balika Badhu, Ankhiyon Ke Jharokhon Se. Sachin has worked in Marathi, Hindi, Bhojpuri, and Kannada cinema.

One of his movies in 1982 was Nadiya Ke Paar in which he acted in a lead role which made him a household name in India.
“Tu Tu Main Main” (2000) and “Kadvee Khatti Meethi” are successful TV serials that he acted, produced, and directed.
Sachin acted in the Kannada film industry. The film “Ekadantha” was one of them which was a remake of his movie Navra Mazha Navsacha.
He also participated in the dance reality show Nach Baliye with his wife Supriya where they won and pocketed the first prize.
Sachin also appeared as a judge in a kids talent show named “Chhote Miyan” in the year 2009.
In 2017, Sachin wrote his autobiography titled “Hach Maza Marg” post his completion of 50 years of movie career.
