Robin Venu Uthappa is a famous cricketer from India. He was born on November 11th, 1985, in Kodagu, Karnataka. He bats right-handed and can also play the role of wicketkeeper when necessary.

Robin Uthappa Personal Life: His parents are Roselyn and Venu Uthappa’s, lone child and the only son they have ever had. Sharon Uthappa is his sister, and her name is also Uthappa. In 2016, Robin Venu Uthappa and Sheethal Gautam celebrated their wedding day.

Robin Uthappa Career life 

Robin Uthappa is an entertaining batsman because he smashes the ball hard, uses all the shots, and isn’t afraid to hit it in the air. Controlling his aggressive stroke style has kept him off the Indian squad for long durations.

Uthappa first gained cricket fans’ attention in 2005 when he hit 66 for India B against India A in the Challenger Trophy in Mumbai. Zaheer Khan, Murali Kartik, and RP Singh were India B’s opponents. He struck 100 from 93 balls for India B in a 2006 match against India A. The prize was a spot on the Indian team instead of Virender Sehwag for the last ODI against England in 2006, and he made the most of it by scoring an 86 at Indore.

Uthappa was recalled after missing the sixth ODI against England at The Oval. India won resoundingly courtesy of an unblemished 47 off 33 balls.

Uthappa won the 2007 World Twenty20 with India. In 2008, he scored only 179 runs in 11 ODIs. After being dismissed from the Indian team, Uthappa’s domestic career was uneventful.

Uthappa had a great 2014 IPL season. He scored 40 or more runs in 11 straight innings and led the competition. The prize was a position on the Indian One-Day International team in 2014. Despite weather delays, he got a fifty. He was neglected again, but he topped the Ranji Trophy run statistics in 2014–2015 when Karnataka repeated their treble. Uthappa returned to India during a 2015 limited-overs tour of Zimbabwe. His performance flopped.

Robin Uthappa Accomplishments 

  • He was awarded the Orange Cap, which is presented to the player who finishes the season with the most runs scored (660), and in the process, he set a T20 record by scoring 40 or more runs in eight consecutive games.
  • In 2013–14, Karnataka won the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, and Vijay Hazare Trophy for his Outstanding performance.
