Virat Kohli Cricket Life

Virat Kohli Early life of Virat Kohli: Prem and Saroj Kohli welcomed their first child, Virat, on the 5th of November, 1988, in Delhi, India. A criminal lawyer raised him, and a stay-at-home mom raised him respectively. Vikash, his elder brother, and Bhavna, his elder sister, are his siblings.

He developed an interest in cricket in his childhood. His father would bow to him when he was three years old, and he would take up a cricket bat and hit it. Vishal Bharti Public School was where he acquired his early education.

Virat Kohli’s journey to the Cricket 

When Virat was nine years old, his father enrolled him at the West Delhi Cricket Academy because of his growing interest in the game. Aside from his training with Rajkumar Sharma at the Rajkumar Sharma Sports Academy, he was also a member of the Sumit Dogra Academy.

He is recognized for his consistent and powerful hitting style, and he has won several matches for India on his own. Virat was three when he first tried his hand at cricket and was instantly hooked. When he was nine, his parents realised his talent and enrolled him in the West Delhi Cricket Academy. In the following years, he blossomed into a superb cricketer, representing Delhi at all youth and domestic cricket levels.

His first major success was when he led India Under-19s to victory at the 2008 Under-19 World Cup. He was soon selected to play for India’s national team and quickly made a name for himself as an essential batsman in the middle of the order.

He’s proven himself in test cricket after establishing himself as an “ODI expert.” Between 2013 and 2022, Virat Kohli led the Indian cricket team in all three formats.

Virat Kohli Marital Status 

Anushka Sharma, a Bollywood actress, was Virat Kohli’s girlfriend. In 2016, it was rumored that the couple had split up; however, they later reconciled and reunited.

Virat and Anushka Sharma exchanged vows on the 11th of December, 2017. Borgo Finocchieto in Tuscany, Italy, was the site of the couple’s wedding.

Virat Kohli Awards  

  • He was named ICC ODI Player of the Year and BCCI International Cricketer of the Year, For the 2011–12 and 2014–15 seasons respectively.
  • In 2013, he earned the Arjuna Award for his international cricket performances.
