About Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar: Parvez Ghulam Rasool Zargar was born on February 13, 1989, in Bijbehara, Jammu and Kashmir. Rasool has been playing for his state since he was a teenager when he was playing Under-14 years of cricket. He is a right-hand cricketer and right-arm off-spin bowler for the team, serving as an all-rounder.

Rasool was the first cricket player from Kashmir Valley to play in the IPL, including the first from the state to represent India in ODIs and T20Is. In his international career, he only played one T20I and one ODI.

Rasool was called up to the national team for the first time in 2013 for a tour of Zimbabwe. Rasool made his national team debut against Bangladesh on June 15, 2014, in Mirpur.

Parvez played for the Ranji team in the 2012-13 season, scoring 594 runs in seven games for an average of 54. He took 33 wickets, including three hat-tricks. Rasool scored 663 runs in the 2013-14 Ranji Trophy, including two centuries and three 50s at an average of 51, and took 27 wickets, including two five-wicket hauls, in nine matches. Only Rasool’s captaincy during that period allowed Jammu and Kashmir to reach the quarter-finals for the very first time since 2000.

Rasool received his first call-up to the national squad in 2013 for a tour of Zimbabwe. He was the second cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir, after Vivek Razdan, to be chosen for the Indian national team, but he did not play any games during that tour.

Rasool made his debut for India against Bangladesh in June 2014, taking two wickets for 60 runs in 10 overs. After two regular spinners, Ravindra Jadeja and Ravichandran Ashwin were rested, he was called up for the T20I series against England in January 2017. Parveez played for India against England in Kanpur in January 2017, taking one wicket for one run in four overs. He also had five runs batted in.
