Mithun Chakraborty is a famous versatile Indian actor who has done tremendous movies in Bollywood and Bengali cinema. With his amazing work, he has made his way through the hearts of his fans.
Mithun Chakraborty Early Life and Childhood: Gouranga Chakraborty, better known by his stage name Mithun Chakraborty, was an Indian actor, producer, and politician who primarily worked in Bengali and Hindi-language movies.
He was born on June 16, 1950. He formerly served as a member of the Rajya Sabha. He has won three National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards.
He attended Oriental Seminary before receiving his B.Sc. in Chemistry from Scottish Church College in Kolkata after completing his studies there. After that, he went to the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, where he received his degree. Before going into the movie business, he was a Naxalite.
Tragically, though, his family suffered tragedy because his only brother was struck by lightning and killed in an accident.

Despite the significant risk to his own life, he went back to his family and broke away from the Naxalite movement. He became acquainted with Ravi Ranjan, a well-known Naxal personality known to his pals as “Bhaa,” during his time as a Naxalite (the ultimate saviour). Bhaa was renowned for his oratory prowess and capacity for manipulation.
Career and Films of Mithun Chakraborty
In the art-house drama Mrigayaa from 1976, Chakraborty made his acting debut and went on to win his first National Film Award for Best Actor. The 1982 movie Disco Dancer, starring Chakraborty as Jimmy, was a box office hit in both India and the Soviet Union and was the first to earn Rs. 100 crore in India.
For his performance as Krishnan Iyer Nariyal Paniwala in the movie Agneepath, he received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1991.
Later, he received two additional National Film Awards for his roles in Swami Vivekananda and Tahader Katha. More than 350 movies featuring Bengali, Hindi, Odia, Bhojpuri, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Punjabi have Chakraborty in them.
As of July 2022, Bollywood had yet to surpass his record of 19 film releases as the lead actor, which is recorded in the Limca Book of Records.

The Monarch Group, which has ties to the hospitality and academic industries, is owned by Chakraborty. He also founded the production company Paparatzy Productions. Additionally, he founded the production company Paparatzy Productions.
Together with Dilip Kumar and Sunil Dutt, he established the Cine & T.V Artistes Association in 1992 as a trust to assist struggling performers (CINTAA).
Personal Life of Mithun Chakraborty
He originally wed the actress Helena Luke in 1979, but the union only lasted four months before the couple filed for divorce. Then, in 1979, he wed the actress Yogeeta Bali.
The four children of Chakraborty and Yogeeta are three sons (Mimoh, Namashi, and Ushmey), as well as an adoptive daughter named Dishani.
