Dinesh Karthik’s dad is a Chennai first-division cricketer. His father served as his cricket coach. His father taught Karthik quick reflexes. Initially a batter, he picked up wicketkeeping. While in performance for the Tamil Nadu juvenile teams, Robin Singh supposed he was exceptionally fit. Karthik raised the youth grades gradually. Early in 1999, he made his under-14 debut for Tamil Nadu. At the start of the 2000–2001 season, he got a promotion to the under–19 team.

Dinesh Karthik Personal Life
Karthik’s wife is Nikita Vanjara. Their marriage commenced in 2007. Dinesh Karthik and Nikita split in 2012. In November 2013, Karthik started a relationship with top squash player Dipika Pallikal who is from India. The two wed in August 2015 via customary Christian and Hindu traditions. On October 18, 2021, the pair had twin boys, Kabir and Zian.

Karthik was from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, into a Telugu family. Later being located in Kuwait for two years, he started playing cricket at age 10. Karthik received his studies in India at Carmel School and Fahaheel Al-Watanieh Indian Private School. Then, beginning in the ninth grade, he attended Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School in Egmore, Chennai.

Dinesh Karthik and former captain Sunil Gavaskar were the only two Indians on the ICC’s on-site commentary team for the final inaugural ICC World Test Championship. It is between India and New Zealand in Southampton. In July 2021, Dinesh Karthik participated in the England-Sri Lanka T20I and ODI series commentary team.
