The Indian cricket player Ramesh Rajaram Powar was born on May 20, 1978. Powar was select in 2000 for the National Cricket Academy’s early intake in Bangalore.

Ramesh Powar Introduction: In June of 2021, he was again appointed as the coach of India’s women’s cricket team. He was chosen for the national team when he took over 50 wickets in back-to-back domestic seasons. It led to India’s 2004 tour of Pakistan. Until 2007, he was on and off the side. He was chosen for the test team in 2007 when India toured Bangladesh. 

He played both tests on that trip. Throughout his entire cricket career, he only played two tests. In the 2008 player auctions, the IPL team Kings XI Punjab purchased him. He stayed with them for the first three seasons. 

Before Kochi Tuskers, Kerala purchased him. His final season in the IPL was in 2012. He retired from first-class cricket after 16 arduous years of play following the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy.

Ramesh Powar’s Early Life and Career

Powar was a reliable performer in domestic cricket for many seasons. Powar spent 16 years playing first-class cricket. Powar was a late replacement for the injured Vinayak Mane in the Sefton Park team’s Liverpool District Cricket Competition appearances in July 2005. 

He was initially chosen for the Indian team’s tour of Pakistan. He did not play in an ODI match again until the beginning of 2006.

He bowled a wicket in his first over of the IPL in May 2008 while playing for the Kings XI Punjab. He played for Kings XI Punjab throughout the IPL’s first three seasons.

In the 2011 IPL, he played for the now-defunct Kochi Tuskers Kerala franchise. In 2012, he was a member of Kings XI Punjab.

He played 14 first-class seasons for the Mumbai cricket team. Before switching to the Rajasthan cricket team in 2013.

Ramesh Powar graduated from Mumbai’s Matunga Ruparel College of Science, Commerce, and Arts. His brother is Kiran Powar. Kiran currently coaches the Vidarbha cricket team’s under-19s. He is also a cricket player.
