Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane is a former captain of the Indian cricket team and currently plays cricket at the international level.

About Ajinkya Rahane: Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane, born on June 6, 1988, is an Indian cricketer who has represented his country on several occasions. He has also previously served as captain of the Indian national cricket team in all formats. He bats in the middle order most of the time in Test cricket, while he bats at the top of the order in white-ball cricket.

In addition, he served as the India national cricket team’s vice-captain in Test matches until the home series against New Zealand in 2021, when he was stripped of his duties as vice-captain. At the moment, he was sacked from his job. He plays for both the Mumbai team in the regional league and the Kolkata Knight Riders in the Indian Premier League

Ajinkya Rahane Awards and Honours

Ranji Trophy season 2007-08 saw Rahane’s debut for Mumbai in a first-class match. He made his T20I debut in August 2011 in Manchester against England. Rahane made his debut in a Test match against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in March of that year. In New Zealand’s Wellington Basin Reserve, he made his first Test century.

In 2020-21, he will lead India to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy win in Australia. International Cricket Council Test batting rankings put Rahane 27th with 612 points. In March 2022, the BCCI awarded him a Grade B contract

Ajinkya Rahane Career

Rahane played for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Wasim Jaffer and Jaffer scored 171 runs together; Jaffer scored 61. He hit two centuries in a row at the Emerging Players Tournament in Australia to make the 2011 India ODI team for England.

He played for India’s U-19, A, and national teams. He played for Indian Blue and Green in NKP Salve Challenger Trophy.

Mumbai named Rahane captain for the 2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

In October 2018, he was named captain of India C’s Deodhar Trophy team. He took the team to the final and hit 144* to win the event. 

Ajinkya Rahane Criketer- List of International Century

This cricketer has made 12 Test centuries and three one-day international centuries (100 or more runs in a single innings). Rahane made his Test debut against Australia at New Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium in March 2013. He struck 188 in Indore’s Holkar Stadium in October 2016 against New Zealand.

Against England in September 2011, Rahane made his one-day international debut at Chester-le-Riverside Street’s Ground. His career-high 111 against Sri Lanka came in November 2011 at Cuttack’s Barabati Stadium.

A century in Twenty20 International (T20I) matches has eluded him thus far, but that could change soon.
