Sanjay Bangar’s early life: Sanjay Bapusaheb Bangar is a former cricket player from India. He was born on October 11, 1972. Bangar was born in the city of Beed in the Indian state of Maharashtra. He was a player who could be used in any position and has competed for India in both tests and one-day internationals. He served in that capacity for the Indian cricket team for a stretch of uninterrupted time spanning over five years (2014-2019).

He graduated from Saint Francis De Sales High School in Aurangabad, where he spent his entire academic career. He attended Ramniranjan Jhunjhunwala College in Ghatkopar and received his Bachelor of Commerce degree there. In addition to that, he has finished the Intermediate Course for Company Secretaries.

Bangar established his mark at the state level, representing Railways for Railways with his medium-pace bowling and solid defensive batting approach. He began his career playing for the youth teams of Maharashtra and Mumbai. However, at the state level, he made his reputation for Railways.

In 2000–2001, Railways made it to the final of the Ranji Trophy, but Baroda ultimately defeated them. The following year, they improved their performance by winning the competition and claiming victory over Baroda. As a result of Bangar’s impressive play, the selectors decided to include him in the Indian team that would compete against England during the 2001–02 season.

Sanjay Bangar’s international career

In his second Test, he got 100 runs without being dismissed while batting at number 7 against Zimbabwe in Nagpur. As a result of Wasim Jaffer’s lacklustre play during the 2002 tour of England, he was moved up the batting order and allowed to begin the innings at Headingley.

He answered with his most crucial innings for India, making a patient 68 on the first day of the match in challenging swinging and seaming conditions.

This inning was part of an invaluable combination with Rahul Dravid. Later on, in the exact match, he contributed by taking two crucial wickets, which paved the path for India to win an innings away from their home ground for the first time in a very long time.

 Sanjay Bangar’s coaching career

 After holding the position of coach for India A in the past, Bangar started working as the batting coach for the Kochi Tuskers in 2010. Before the start of the 2014 Indian Premier League season, Bangar was given the position of the assistant coach by Kings XI Punjab.

During the season, he was given the role of the head coach and led his team to the final, which was the best performance the franchise has had in the IPL to this point.

However, they were ultimately defeated by the Kolkata Knight Riders. After that, he became the Kings XI Punjab coach for three years before being forced to step down to adhere to the conflict of interest regulations of the BCCI.

Sanjay Bangar’s current life 

Currently, Sanjay is serving as the head coach of the Indian Premier League team known as Royal Challengers Bangalore.
