The Cellular Era was a golden time when Reliance Communications was the only provider of mobile services in the country.
Introduction of RCOM Share
Reliance Communication (RCOM) has a long history of providing communication services to consumers in India. Reliance Communication was founded on 15 July 2004 when the Cellular Era was just starting to take off. The company was founded by Anil Ambani.
Over time, RCOM has expanded its services to include 4G services. In 2019, the company went bankrupt because it could not pay its debt. Then later his brother Mukesh Ambani helped him to pay off his debt.
History of RCOM share
RCOM’s cellular history can be divided into three eras: the Cellular Era, the 2000s, and the Next Generation Era.
The Cellular Era can be broadly divided into two periods: pre-2000 and post-2000. During the pre-2000 period, RCOM was a dominant player in the cellular market, and it was the only major player.
In post-2000, however, several new players, such as Airtel, Reliance Jio, and Mobile, entered the market and began to challenge RCOM’s dominance.
The 2000s can be broadly divided into three periods: pre-2001, 2001-2005, and 2006-2015. During the pre-2001 period, RCOM was the only player in the 3G service.
However, after the launch of Airtel’s 3G services in 2001, and the entry of other players into the market, RCOM’s market share began to decline.
In the 2001-2005 period, RCOM’s market share increased again, as it increased its capacity and introduced new services. However, in 2006, the company’s market share began to decline once again, this time due to the entry of Jio.
The 2006-2015 period was the most successful for RCOM, as the company’s market share remained stable and it introduced new services, such as 4G and LTE.
Several important factors contributed to Rcom’s success in the Cellular Era and the 2000s. These factors include the company’s aggressive expansion, its focus on new services, its investment in technology, and its strong ties with the government.
In the Next Generation Era, which began in 2016, RCOM is the only player in the 4G service. It is continuing to invest in technology and is focusing on expanding its 4G service to new markets.
RCOM’s cellular history is an important example of how a company can successfully transition from one era to the next. It has demonstrated the importance of aggressive expansion, investment in new technology, and strong ties with the government.
The current share price of Rcom share is Rs 2.45 as of now on 28 Sept 2022.
