Ranbir Raj Kapoor is an Indian actor best known for his roles in Hindi-language films. He was born on September 28, 1982. He has appeared on Forbes India’s Celebrity 100 list since 2012 and is one of the highest-paid actors in Hindi film.

Ranbir Kapoor – Early life and Background: On September 28, 1982, in Bombay, Maharashtra, India, Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh, both celebrities in the Hindi cinema industry, welcomed their son Ranbir Raj Kapoor.

He is the great-grandson of Prithviraj Kapoor and the grandson of actor-director Raj Kapoor. His older sister, Riddhima, works as a fashion and interior designer (born 1980).

The actors Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor, sons of Randhir Kapoor, are his first cousins. Kapoor is of Punjabi descent; his parents are Sikh and Hindu.

Kapoor received his education at the Bombay Scottish School. As a student, he showed little interest in academics and did poorly in comparison to his contemporaries. He has admitted, though, that he was an excellent athlete, particularly in football.

Early Work & Success (2007–2010)

Sonam Kapoor and Rani Mukerji were chosen by Bhansali to play the lead roles in his 2007 tragic love drama Saawariya, which was released after Black.

In the film, he portrays a tramp who becomes fixated on a woman who is awaiting the return of her beloved. Saawariya, a widely awaited film, was the first Indian film produced by a Hollywood studio (Sony Pictures Entertainment).

Critical acclaim (2011–2013)

Following an item number in the kid’s movie Chillar Party (2011), Kapoor played Janardhan “Jordan” Jakhar in Imtiaz Ali’s drama Rockstar, which charts the rise of an aspiring musician from a modest upbringing to global celebrity.

In Pitam Pura, Kapoor lived with a Jat family and observed their habits as part of his preparation for the part. In addition, he picked up the guitar and practiced a lot at A.R. Rahman’s (the soundtrack composer) studio.

Commercial struggles and resurgence (2014–present)

After a one-year break, Kapoor returned to the big screen in Roy (2015), a romantic thriller that critic Sarita Tanwar called “boring, tiring, and pretentious.” Kapoor played a mysterious robber in Roy.

With his subsequent release, the crime drama Bombay Velvet, directed by Anurag Kashyap and based on the history book Mumbai Fables by Gyan Prakash, which also starred Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, the series of financial failures continued.

Ranbir Kapoor Personal Life

According to Kapoor, who has been open about his personal life, his parents’ marriage taught him how difficult relationships can be.

In the seventh grade, he entered into his first committed relationship, and when it ended, he experienced depression. Kapoor started dating Deepika Padukone in 2008 while they were both working on the movie Bachna Ae Haseeno.

He started dating Alia Bhatt, his Brahmastra co-star, in 2018. (2022). On April 14, 2022, he married her in Mumbai during a private ceremony. The couple announced their first child’s impending arrival in June 2022.
