Rajendra Gupta Early Life: He was born on 17 October 1947 in Panipat, Punjab ( India), and completed his educational qualification at Kurukshetra University National School of Drama in Delhi ( India). He married Veena Gupta in 1972 and they have a daughter Ravee Gupta who is on the stairs to be a successful actress.

Rajendra Gupta shifted to Bombay with his family in 1985 and started working for television serials. After three years he introduced himself to the film industry where he got some good responses and roles.
In Lagaan ( 2001) he played the role of the head village man ( mukhiya) and the movie was nominated for an Oscars Award.
