R. Madhavan – Introduction: Through Mani Ratnam’s popular love story Alaipayuthey, Madhavan became well-known in Tamil cinema in 2000. He became a romantic hero immediately because of his important performances in Minnale, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Madras Talkies, two of the highest-grossing Tamil movies of 2001. Dum Dum Dum is one of them. 

Madhavan took a break from performing following his roles in the subsequent box office successes of Tanu Weds Manu in the year 2011 and Vettai in the year 2012. Tanu Weds Manu Returns, a romantic comedy, was one of his comeback movies in 2015 after a three-year absence.

In Jamshedpur, Bihar (now in Jharkhand), to Tamil Brahmin parents. Ranganathan Iyengar, his father, was a management executive for Tata Steel, while his mother Saroja worked as a manager for the Bank of India. His younger sister Devika is a software engineer. Madhavan received his education at the D.B.M.S. English School in Jamshedpur.

Santosh Sivan, who directed an advertisement for sandalwood talc at the beginning of 1996, later suggested Madhavan to Mani Ratnam so that he could participate in a screen test for a part in Iruvar.

Madhavan’s breakthrough as an actor came in 1999 when renowned Indian filmmaker Mani Ratnam chose him for the main part in his Tamil romance drama Alaipayuthey (2000). The movie’s following critical and financial success gave Madhavan his big break.

After finishing the training, Sarita and Madhavan started dating because Sarita could apply the abilities she had learned in his classes to succeed in an interview for an air hostess position.

Media outlets have covered the couple’s marriage, and Madhavan has said that guidance from his guru Mani Ratnam was helpful.

Madhavan is one of India’s rare actors who has succeeded in both the North and South Indian cinema industry. As a result, he has been offered countless opportunities to represent brands.

Additionally, he has been offered leading roles in bilingual movies like Yavarum Nalam and Irudhi Suttru, a Hindi-Tamil collaboration, and the English-Malayalam crossover film Nothing But Life.

 In July 2006, the video game developer Paradox Studios Limited unveiled a brand-new title designed for mobile devices with Madhavan as the main character.

Using Madhavan as their main character, the business created two mobile gaming titles. The actor reprised his role as the pilot from Rang De Basanti. He has won many awards for his acting skills. 

In 2000 he won the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut – South.

In 2002 Hus’s film, Run, Kannathil Muthamittal, and Anbe Sivam won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actor.

For the movie Anbe Sivam, he won the ITFA Best Supporting Actor Award in 2003.

For his movie Aaytha Ezhuthu, he won the 2004 Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor – Tamil. His movie name is Irudhi Suttru; he won the 2016 Filmfare Award for Best Actor in a Tamil Film.
