Raaj Kumar was a versatile actor in the history of Indian cinema. He made his way through the hearts of millions of people by his extremely natural performance on the screen.
Raaj Kumar- Personal Life and Education: An Indian actor who appeared in Hindi films, Raaj Kumar was born on 8th October 1926. In a career spanning more than four decades, he starred in more than 70 Hindi films and made an appearance in the 1957 Oscar-nominated film Mother India.
Kulbhushan Pandit was born into a Kashmiri Pandit family in Loralai, Balochistan, British India (now Pakistan). He relocated to Bombay in the late 1940s and joined the Bombay Police as a sub-inspector.
He engaged Jennifer Pandit, an Anglo-Indian air hostess whom he had met on a plane. By Hindu tradition, she then changed her name to Gayatri Kumar.
They had three kids: daughter Vastavikta Pandit, who made her acting debut in the 2006 movie Eight: The Power of Shani, and boys Puru Raaj Kumar and Panini Raaj Kumar.

Career and Films of Raaj Kumar
In addition to appearing in movies like Aabshar, Ghamand, and Lakhon Mein Ek, Raaj Kumar made his acting debut in the 1952 film Rangili.
However, it was his role as Prince Naushazad in Sohrab Modi’s Nausherwan-E-Adil (1957) that made him famous. He rose to fame in 1957 thanks to his brief appearance in Mother India as Nargis’s spouse.
He then co-starred with Dilip Kumar in the unglamorous part of a mill worker in Paigham (1959). Raaj Kumar portrayed a cancer patient in Sridhar’s Dil Ek Mandir (1963), for which he received the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor.
In 1965, he was cast alongside Sunil Dutt, Shashi Kapoor, and Balraj Sahni in the family drama Waqt by Yash Chopra. He became well-known for his distinctive manner of delivering lines.
Hamraaz (1967), Heer Raanjha (1971), Maryada (1971), Lal Patthar (1971), and Pakeezah (1971) were some of his other well-known movies (1972).
After 32 years, he worked alongside renowned actor Dilip Kumar once more in Subhash Ghai’s Saudagar in 1991. Tirangaa, his last box office success, and God & Gun, his final picture, were both released in 1995.

Death of Raaj Kumar
On July 3, 1996, at the age of 69, Kumar passed away from throat cancer. In an interview with Farhana Farook, his son Puru Raaj Kumar said that his father had Hodgkin’s disease and had chemotherapy as a result. His final two years were difficult because of the recurrent nodes in his lungs and ribcage.
