PUBG History

About PUBG: PUBG: Battlegrounds (formerly known as PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds) is a battle royale video game developed and published by Krafton subsidiary PUBG Studios. Brendan “PlayerUnknown” Greene produced a standalone game inspired by the 2000 Japanese action film “Battle Royale” based on his previous mods for other games.

It’s a game in which up to 100 people parachute onto the same island and search for weapons and equipment to use against one another…

The safe zone on the map diminishes as the game proceeds, putting the surviving players in increasing danger of violence. The last player (or team) standing wins the round. The first game in the PUBG series was PUBG Universe.

PUB G Revenue
By the end of 2021, PUBG: Warzones has sold more than 75 percent of all copies of the top PC and Playstation One video game of all time. More than 1 billion users have downloaded the worldwide version of PUBG Smartphone, making it the fourth most popular mobile game.

Esports
This video game includes a variety of esports leagues and events. Player-vs.-player matches are held in each major region’s PUBG Mobile Club Open (PMCO), where competitors compete until the next event.

Only 32 of the many participating teams will be eligible for the competition.

In this phase, known as the PMCO group stages, the 32 teams are divided into four groups of eight. Following the completion of the group stages, the top 16 teams participated in the finals.

The PUBG Mobile Pro League is a higher level of competition in which teams strive to advance (PMPL).

Controversies
According to the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, an official ban on PUBG Mobile would go into force in India on September 2, 2020. As a result, Tencent Games will cease its operations in India on October 30, 2020.

Following the government ban, Krafton declared that the game would return to India on May 6, 2021.

Krafton published Battlegrounds Mobile India, a version of the game designed particularly for Indian users.
