Delhi Police Traffic Advisory: For the Beating Retreat event on Monday at Vijay Chowk, the Delhi Police has made a lot of plans for traffic, officials said.

The cops warned on Friday that there would be traffic restrictions from 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Monday and that Vijay Chowk would be closed to all traffic. It said that cars would not be able to go on Rafi Marg between the Sunehri Masjid roundabout and the Krishi Bhawan roundabout or on Raisina Road from the Krishi Bhawan roundabout to Vijay Chowk or on roads that go past the Dara Shikoh roundabout, the Krishna Menon Marg roundabout, and the Sunehri Masjid to Vijay Chowk.

It said that Kartavya Path between Vijay Chowk and ‘C’ hexagon will have less traffic.

It said that people should use different paths, such as Ring Road, Ridge Road, Aurobindo Marg, Madrasa T-Point, Lodhi Road, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Rani Jhansi Road, and Minto Road.

From 2:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Monday, the buses will not go on their regular routes. This is to make room for the cars of guests and onlookers and to keep the roads around the ceremony sites and India Gate from getting too crowded, according to the advisory. It said that people who want to see the lights will be able to park at Vijay Chowk between Rafi Marg and ‘C’ Hexagon after 7 pm. It said that people and drivers should be patient, follow the rules of the road, and listen to the people who work at all intersections who are giving advice.

People are also asked to plan their trips ahead of time to avoid any problems and to stay up to date by following the traffic cops on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
