Murali Kartik’s Early Life: Murali Kartik is an Indian cricket pundit and former cricket player. He was born on September 11, 1976, and played for the Indian national team from 2000 to 2007. The presence of Anil Kumble and Harbhajan Singh during his prime years prevented him from being considered for international selection even though he was a specialist slow left-arm orthodox bowler with a loopy trajectory and the ability to spin and bounce the ball.

Left-handed batting is another one of his skills, and while he has scored 19 half-centuries in first-class competition, he has not been able to replicate this success at the international level. He is a left-handed hitter.

After getting his start in the Delhi junior system, Murli progressed through the age group categories at Railways and eventually earned a spot on the Indian Under-19 team. After a few successful seasons at the domestic level, he earned his Test debut in early 2000 as an opening bowling partner for Anil Kumble. He made his debut in the first-class competition in 1996–1997.

However, he could not overcome his disciplinary issues and be kicked out of the National Cricket Academy in the same year. The following year, the new captain of the Indian national team, Sourav Ganguly, was hesitant to entrust him with responsibility.

Kartik spent the subsequent four years on the cusp of being chosen for something. His lackluster play led to his being pulled from the One-Day International squad in 2002, which resulted in him missing the 2003 Cricket World Cup. He made his ODI debut that same year. Late in 2003, he was recalled for limited overs matches and played in approximately half of India’s games for six months.

Additionally, he participated in one Test match after Harbhajan sustained a significant injury. In the latter part of 2004, Kartik participated in three Tests for India during a period in which the team fielded three spinners. He won his lone man-of-the-match award in Tests against Australia in Mumbai, but he was discarded for the next two matches.
