Mohammed Siraj, an Indian cricketer who was born on March 13, 1994, competes for Hyderabad in domestic competition, Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League, and the India cricket team.

Mohammed Siraj Early Life: Siraj was born in Hyderabad. His mother is a homemaker, and his father drove an auto-rickshaw. Siraj made his first-class debut on November 15, 2015, while playing for Hyderabad in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy competition and being coached by Karthik Udupa.

Mohammed Siraj Domestic Career

  •  On January 2, 2016, he played his first Twenty20 match in the 2015–16 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy competition.
  • He was Hyderabad’s leading wicket-taker during the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy competition, finishing with 41 wickets at an 18.92 average. 
  • He was acquired by the Sunrisers Hyderabad squad for 2.6 crores in February 2017 in preparation for the 2017 Indian Premier League.
  • He was acquired by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2018 IPL auction in January 2018.
  • With 23 dismissals in seven games, he was the 2017–18 Vijay Hazare Trophy’s top wicket-taker in February of that year. 
  • He was included in India A’s roster for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy in October 2018. In October 2019, he was added to India B’s team for the Deodhar Trophy for the upcoming season.
  • He made history on October 21, 2020, by bowling back-to-back debut overs in a single game, making him the first bowler in the history of the Indian Premier League.

Mohammed Siraj International career

  • He was included in India’s Twenty20 International (T20I) team in October 2017 for their series against New Zealand.
  • On November 4, 2017, against New Zealand, he made his T20I debut for India by dismissing Kane Williamson, finishing with figures of 1 wicket for 53 runs from four overs.
  • He was included in the Indian Twenty20 International (T20I) team for the 2018 Nidahas Trophy in February 2018. 
  • He was included in India’s Test team for their series against the West Indies in September 2018, but he did not participate.

  • He was included in India’s One Day International (ODI) team for their series against Australia in December 2018.
  • On January 15, 2019, he made his ODI debut at Adelaide Oval against Australia.
  • Siraj was included in India’s Test team for their series against Australia on October 26, 2020. Following Mohammad Shami’s injury, it took some thought to decide between Navdeep Saini and Siraj.
  • Siraj was chosen ahead of Saini, and on December 26, 2020, he made his Test debut for India against Australia. Marnus Labuschagne was the victim of his first Test wicket.
  • Siraj recorded his first five-wicket haul in a Test match against Australia in January 2021, the fourth test of the series.
