The movie is different from the original plan, which was for “Moana 2” to be a TV show.
Disney’s “Moana” was a big hit. It made over $680 million at the box office and was the most-streamed movie of 2023, according to Nielsen.
ABC News says that Disney’s “epic animated musical “Moana 2″ takes audiences on a huge new journey with Moana, Maui, and a whole new cast of strange sailors.”
The synopsis continued: “After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she’s ever faced.”
The music for the film was composed by three-time Grammy winner Mark Mancina, Grammy winners Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, and Grammy nominee Opetaia Foa’i. The movie is directed by Dave Derrick Jr.
The movie “Moana 2” comes out on Nov. 27, 2024.
