Meet Devika: Mufeed VH (Hamzakutty) of Lyminal and Stition.AI is working on an open-source project that rivals Devin, the first AI software engineer created by Cognition Labs in the US.
Similarly to Devin, Devika understands human instructions using machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP). However, Devika breaks down those instructions into actionable tasks, so it conducts its own research and writes code independently.

- In a feedback loop, 12 agentic models can understand, browse, research, code, document, and make decisions based on the user’s query.
- Claude 3, GPT-4, GPT-3.5, and Local LLMs are supported by Ollama.
- Devika can run and fix/pattern her code without user intervention if it breaks.

We don’t yet know how AI tools will change the tech job market, but software developers are racing to innovate with artificial intelligence, and Devika is joining that race.
He outlined the features of the AI tool in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. According to Mufeed VH, the product will launch after rigorous testing and bug fixes.
