Lakshmipathy Balaji’s early life: Lakshmipathy Balaji is a cricket coach in India and a former cricket player. He was born on 27 September, 1981. He bowls right-handed and has a medium-fast right arm speed. In November 2016, he announced that he would no longer be playing first-class or List A cricket.

In the current season of the Indian Premier League, he is serving as the bowling coach in his prior role with the Chennai Super Kings.

In 2003, Balaji was selected to play for the Indian national cricket team as a fast-medium bowler. Since 2001, he has been a member of the team representing his state, and in 2003, he made his debut in a test match against New Zealand in Ahmedabad. After his performance in the India-Pakistan series in 2004, he received recognition for his efforts.

During that series, he was a crucial cog in the wheel that drove the Indian team to unprecedented triumphs. However, he could not continue his career in international cricket due to an injury.

During Pakistan’s tour of India in 2005, he made his comeback and took five wickets in the match’s first innings. He could not play cricket for the next three years due to an injury. In 2007, Balaji made his comeback to the domestic cricket circuit.

After a successful domestic season in 2008, during which Balaji played a pivotal role in guiding Tamil Nadu to the semifinals of the Ranji Trophy, Balaji was called up to the international squad in January 2009 to replace an injured Munaf Patel, who had sustained a groyne injury.

This came about as a result of Balaji’s strong performance on the domestic front. The series’ final game versus Sri Lanka saw Balaji earn a spot in the playing eleven for the Indian team.

Beginning with the first season of the Indian Premier League in 2008, Balaji was a Chennai Super Kings team member and participated in all three of those season’s tournaments. 

In the match against Kings XI Punjab in Chennai on May 10, 2008, he achieved the first hat-trick of the Indian Premier League tournament. He took five wickets to cap off the evening, which enabled his team to win the match. 

In the usual course of T20 play, run chases of less than or close to 130 runs are pretty uncommon.
