Highest-Paying Jobs for the New Year Without a University Degree
The Australian Financial Review says that these experts can make more than $500,000 a year, and that they don’t always need a college degree to do the job.
Highest-Paying Jobs: Want to get a job in 2024 but don’t have a degree? Fear not, for there are many well-paid jobs available now that pay very well.
AI has made a job for people who can come up with prompts and answers faster than humans can. These people are called “prompt engineers.”
The Australian Financial Review says that these experts can make more than $500,000 a year, and that they don’t always need a college degree to do the job.
What does an AI prompt engineer mean?
An artificial intelligence (AI) prompt engineer knows how to make text-based cues or prompts that big language models and creative AI tools can understand and use. Instead of writing code like regular computer engineers do, prompt engineers use written words to look for quirks in AI systems.
These experts are also responsible for teaching and improving new AI tools like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Bard, Dall-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion so that they can give accurate and useful answers to people’s questions.

Skills Required for Prompts Engineers
An AI prompt engineer needs to be good at technical, language, and analytical skills in order to make and improve prompts for AI learning models.
Some of the most important skills you need to become an AI response engineer are:
- Know how AI, ML, and NLP work: An AI prompt engineer needs to know about machine learning ideas, algorithms, and model frameworks to work with AI systems. To make good questions, you also need to know a lot about syntax, meaning, language structure, and natural language processing (NLP).
- Knowing how to code: Python is the main computer language used for NLP and AI jobs. So, knowing the basics of Python and other computer languages is helpful for jobs that require writing scripts, integrating models, and changing data.
- Communication Skills: Because AI prompt engineers work with other teams and talk to AI systems all the time, they need to be able to speak clearly both in writing and in person to work with partners, explain important requirements, and understand project goals.
Background in education. You don’t always need to have experience in AI or IT-related fields, but having a degree in computer science, data science, or a similar field can be helpful. Since quick engineers work with the language and cognitive parts of AI, they can come from a variety of fields, such as cognitive psychology and communications. They can also learn more and keep up with the latest AI trends and developments by using online lessons and self-study materials, such as Natural Language Toolkit, SpaCy, and transformers, as well as NLP frameworks and tools. - Try out different things with ChatGPT models that have already been trained: Should people who want to work in prompt engineering try trying and testing with AI robot models that have already been trained, like GPT-3 or GPT-4? They can test different prompts to see what the models can and can’t do when it comes to text generation. This way, they can learn more about how ChatGPT works and improve prompts by using real-life examples.
