Harry Cherrington Brook, born on February 22, 1999, is a famous English cricket player. Now he plays for the Yorkshire County Cricket Club and represents England in international cricket.

Early Life of Harry Brook

Although she was born in Keighley, Brook spent much of her childhood in Burley in Wharfedale. His formal education took place at the comprehensive Ilkley Grammar School, which is in Ilkley, West Yorkshire. After receiving a scholarship offer to attend Sedbergh School, an independent boarding school located in Cumbria, he left his previous school at the age of 14.

1. Domestic

Though he was still in school, Brook made his first-class debut for Yorkshire on June 26, 2016, against Pakistan A, at Headingley. It was against Middlesex on June 19, 2017, at Lord’s, when he made his County Championship debut for Yorkshire. It wasn’t until he had scored three hundred in two weeks for Yorkshire’s second eleven that he got his big break.

During the beginning of 2017, Brook played for England’s under-19 national team in two under-19 Tests and five under-19 Limited Overs Internationals against India’s under-19 national team.

2. International

In a series of five junior one-day international matches played in August 2017, Brook captained England’s under-19 cricket team to a series win against India. Brook was named captain of England’s Under-19 Cricket World Cup team in December 2017. In 2018, the competition will go down.

With his 102 not out against Bangladesh in England’s second group match, he became the second England captain to achieve a century in the U19 World Cup, after Alastair Cook. He was therefore appointed England’s second captain in history.

After England’s matches in the campaign ended, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named Brook the team’s rising star. As a result of his 239 total runs, he was named England’s leading run-scorer.
