Yuvraj is a former Indian cricket player who is the most popular of the twenty-twenty format of cricket. He is well known for the hard smashes and aggression he showed while he played cricket. He was an all-rounder who hits over-the-ground sixes and bowls left hand orthodoxly very smoothly. Yuvraj Singh Early Life and Education
Yuvraj Singh was born on 12th December 1981 in Chandigarh (India ) He was born in a Punjabi Family to former cricketer Yograj Singh and Shabnam Singh. Yuvraj Singh completed his educational qualification from KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School and DAV College Panjab University. Yuvraj Singh started his sports career by playing table tennis and roller-skating. He was so good in these sports that he won the National under 14 roller skating championship. Yuvraj’s father wanted Yuvraj to be a cricketer and play for the Indian cricket team.
Yuvraj Singh’s Career and Greatest Moments
Yuvraj Singh began his career after playing under-16 cricket in Punjab in 1996 when he was almost 14 years old. He was later promoted to Punjab Under 19 in 1997 and hit 137 runs not out against Himachal Pradesh. Yuvraj Singh appeared in First class Cricket in late 1997 in Ranji Trophy. His first debut in International cricket was on 3 October 2000 against Kenya. After then his international journey began and he played some not-out knocks against many teams and also became a man of the match and got more attention and pride from other senior players.
In 2007 Yuvraj Singh was selected as vice-captain for Indian Team after Rahul Dravid resigned as vice-captain. Between 2002 – 2008 Yuvraj won many trophies and man of the match and mam of the series trophies for his performance in both home and foreign tours of cricket matches.
In 2011 Yuvraj was a part of the Indian international cricket team and scored more than 362 + runs and was awarded four men of the match awards and other medals and trophies.
After the world cup, Yuvraj suffered from his respiratory problems and suffered from cancer and went to Boston at Cancer Research Institute for treatment and later to the United States.
