Xiaomi Unveils HyperOS Rollout in India, Major Updates Await

The company just recently said that HyperOS will be available for Xiaomi, Redmi, and Poco phones around the world starting in the first quarter of 2024.

The CMO of Xiaomi India said that 2024 will be a big year for the company and that a lot of interesting things will happen. “By the way, do you know why ’24 is important for Xiaomi India?” he asked in a tweet.

Xiaomi created HyperOS, a “human-centric” operating system that runs all of the company’s personal gadgets, like smartphones, cars, and home goods. These four main goals are to be met by the new user interface for this operating system: low-level rewriting, cross-end intelligent connection, proactive intelligence, and end-to-end security.

MetaOS is built on top of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP), and it comes with Android 14. HyperOS, on the other hand, is built on top of the Xiaomi Vela open-source system for its smart products. Xiaomi says that HyperOS will have stable speed even when a lot of resources are being used.

HyperConnect lets people handle all of their connected gadgets from anywhere. This is very helpful for smart homes. HyperMind AI is built into the system, which lets devices learn what users want and do it before they ask for it. The platform also has big base models that let third-party apps add advanced features.

The HyperOS has end-to-end security and specialized hardware TEE. This makes sure that all user information is always safe and sound. To replace MIUI, Xiaomi’s HyperOS has started to roll out around the world. Xiaomi’s universe of personal devices, such as smartphones, cars, and AIoT home goods, are all run by the new operating system. Nine devices can run HyperOS, such as the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Redmi Note 12, Xiaomi Pad 6, and Poco F5.
