In the Dutch version of The Floor, there are 100 fans who fight all season. They stand out on a big 10×10 LED floor. Everybody has a different subject. Someone gets to pick an opponent and start a quiz fight outside of the grid. Everyone in the battle has 45 seconds to look at a picture that has something to do with what the other person is talking about and guess what it is.
When someone runs out of time, they are out of the game. The winner then plays their place. They can go back to the grid or play against someone else. The person who has the most spots at the end of each show wins money. The winner is the person who is still alive at the end of the season. On the American show, there are 81 people competing on a 9×9 floor. At the end of the season, the winner gets $250,000.
