About Uttam Prakash Agarwal:  Mr. Uttam Prakash Agarwal has worked extensively in fields like statutory audit, income leakage audit, dealing room audit of banks, special investigative audit on behalf of the Board for Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), public sector banks and companies under RBI’s appointment, monitoring of ailing companies on behalf of Bank of India, and audits for banks, NBFCs, and Mutli-National Banks.

Additionally, he has extensive expertise advising banks, investment banks, brokerage firms, and financing organizations on tax and business matters. The former President of India recognized Mr. Uttam Prakash Agarwal for his admirable efforts in the business and gave him the “Recognition of Excellence Award” as the ICAI’s youngest president in 2009–2010.

On the boards of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), the Developing Nations Committee (DNC) of IFAC, and the Small and Medium Practices Committee (SMP) of IFAC, Mr. Agarwal served as a technical advisor.

He was appointed by the Ministry of Finance in 2009 and has served on the Disciplinary Committee of the Institute of Actuaries of India since then.

Additionally, Mr. Agarwal served as a member of the Central Board of Direct Taxes, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, and Regional Direct Taxes Advisory Committee (RDTAC), both of which are located in New Delhi.

He also served on the National Advisory Committee on Accounting Standards, which was established by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, as well as the Audit Advisory Board and the Government Accounting Standards Advisory Board, both of which are located in New Delhi (SCODA).
