Tinu Anand is a well-known Hindi film actor, director, writer, and producer, born on October 12th, 1945. His real name is Virender Raj Anand.

Tinnu Anand’s  Family: He is the son of the late Inder Raj Anand, a well-known writer. Director Siddharth Anand’s uncle and Bittu Anand, a producer, is his younger brother. 

Tinnu Anand Personal life

Shahnaz, the daughter of famous actor Agha, is his wife. There are two children born to this couple. 

 Tinnu Anand’s Education

Tinnu Anand was a student at Ajmer, Rajasthan’s Mayo College, an all-boys boarding school in India. Satyajit Ray, a renowned Indian filmmaker, also mentored him. 

Tinnu Anand’s  Early Life

While his father, Inder Raj Anand, was a well-known film industry writer, he did not want Tinnu or his younger brother Bittu to pursue a career in filmmaking.

According to Inder Raj Anand, it wasn’t the right environment for them, and he was enraged when he learned that his son wanted to become a film director.

Finally, he realized he had no choice but to accept his son’s decision. As a result, he enrolled him at the Satyajit Ray School, a prestigious institution. He had a good relationship with Mr. Ray, so he asked Mr. Ray to look after his son.

Tinnu Anand’s  Career

 Tinnu had a role in K. Abbas’s film Saat Hindustani, but he had to pay Amitabh Rs.5000 for its duration. Amitabh decided to appear on the show because he craved attention. In Saat Hindustani, he played the poet’s companion.

 Veeru (Devgan) taught him how to work with late performers regularly.

To succeed with these performers, he had to learn how to film without them.

Veeru counseled him. Tinnu delighted Amitabh with a scene featuring him and Amjad Khan. Amitabh, incredulous, admitted he’d never worked with Amjad. 

Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1969), Aranyer Din Ratri (1970), Pratidwandi (1970), and Seemabaddha (1971) to Ashani Sanket were all directed by Satyajit Ray’s assistant Tinu Anand.

Tinnu is well known for directing Amitabh Bachchan films such as Kaalia, Main Azaad Hoon, Shahenshah, and Major Saab. 

He appeared in many films, including Chhupa Rustam (2001), Paisa Vasool (2004), and Bluffmaster! (2005), Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Ghajini (2008), Dabangg (2010), Rabba Main Kya Karoon (2013), Phata Poster Nikhla Hero (2013), Aisa Yeh Jahaan (2015), and Santa Banta Pvt Ltd. (2016).

Saaho and Dabangg 3 are among his 2019 releases.
