The sudden death of the iconic American actress Shelley Duvall has shaken the Hollowood industry.
According to Shelley’s partner Dan Gilroy, Shelley Duvall died on Thursday night in her sleep at her place in Blanco, Texas.
In a statement, Shelley’s partner Dan Gilroy said, “My dear, sweet, wonderful life, partner, and friend left us last night. Too much suffering lately, now she’s free. Fly away beautiful Shelley.”

“After 34 years … I can’t tell you how much I miss her,” Gilroy told NBC News.

As per the reports from her partner and media, she died due to the complications of her diabetes.
In a 2016 interview with Dr. Phil McGraw, Shelley Duvall disclosed that she was ill. During the interview, she said, “I’m very sick. I need help,” and since then she wasn’t seen in public very often.
She did appear in a horror film “The Forest Hills” in 2023 which was after decades since her film “Manna From Heaven,” in 2002.

In April 2024, the New York Times reported that Duvall has diabetes and can’t move around much because of her foot injury.
Shelley Duvall kept most of her health updates private and didn’t disclose them to her fans.
Shelley’s partner Dan Gilroy earlier added that Duvall had been bedridden and in hospice treatment for a few months because of her diabetes before she died.
