History of Tata Motors: When Tata Motors was first established, it made locomotives its primary product. After collaborating with Daimler-Benz AG for 9 years, the company produced its first commercial car in 1954; the two companies’ association ended in 1969.

With the introduction of the Tata Mobile model in 1988 and the Tata Sierra model in 1991, Tata Motors began producing passenger cars, becoming the first Indian automaker to produce an entirely domestic vehicle.

Tata Motors has had great success in the EV market with the Nexon and Tigor. The Nexon and Tigor EVs are both enjoyable to drive and are leaders in their respective markets. In FY22, Tata Motors offered 19,106 electric Nexon and Tigor vehicles (EVs).
