Indian actor and politician Suresh Oberoi (born on December 17, 1946) made appearances in Hindi-language movies. He won the Best Supporting Actor National Film Award in 1987.

Suresh Oberoi Early life: Oberoi was born on December 17, 1946, in Quetta, then the Baluchistan Province of British India before partition, to Anand Sarup Oberoi, a Khatri, and Kartar Devi. Due to the section, the family and their four brothers and sisters moved to India within a year. They eventually went to the state of Hyderabad, where his family started a chain of medical businesses.

Oberoi participated actively in sports and went to Hyderabad’s St. George’s Grammar School. He was a champion in swimming and tennis, and as a Boy Scout, he eventually received the President’s Award. Oberoi and his brother managed their father’s pharmacy chain after his passing when he barely graduated from high school. He quickly speaks Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi, English, and Urdu.

Suresh Oberoi Career 

In the early 1970s, because of his acting talent and strong voice, he was cast in stage productions and radio plays, which led him to enrol in Pune’s Film and Television Institute of India. Before enrolling in the Acting Institute, Suresh Oberoi met Yashodhara, a Tamil Nadu native, and the two were wed in Chennai in 1974. After giving birth to their now-famous son Vivek Oberoi in 1976, the couple moved to Mumbai.

Early in his Mumbai career, his previous radio programme experience and prominent voice kept him going. Later, thanks to his connections with advertising agencies, he was chosen to be a model for Charminar cigarettes and Lifebuoy soaps, becoming one of the top models by the late 1970s.

In addition to hosting the second season of the conversation show Jeena Isi Ka Naam Hai, made famous by Farooque Shaikh, Television Oberoi has appeared in the series Dhadkan and Kashmeer.

On August 1, 1974, Suresh Oberoi wed Yashodara in Madras, who was eight years his junior. The couple’s first child, Bollywood star Vivek Oberoi was born in 1976. Meghna Oberoi, the couple’s second child, was born a few years later. His wife, Yashodhara, comes from a Tamil family of entrepreneurs. Akshay Oberoi, a Bollywood performer, is his brother Krishan Oberoi’s son.

He made his debut with Jeevan Mukt before the end of 1977. He did play the lead in movies like Ek Baar Phir in 1980, but the film wasn’t a financial success. He later appeared on the radio show Mukaddar Ka Sikandar. Then, between 1979 and 1980, he agreed to play supporting roles in the financially rewarding films Kartavya, Ek Baar Kaho, Suraksha, and Khanjar.
