Rahul Gandhi was born on 19 June 1970 in Delhi. His mother, Sonia Gandhi, is an Italian-born Indian politician who has been the President of the Congress Party since 1998. His father, Rajiv Gandhi, was the Prime Minister of India from 1984 until his assassination in 1991.

Rahul Gandhi attended St. Columba’s School in Delhi and graduated from Harvard University in 1992 with a degree in philosophy. A year later, he worked as a financial adviser for Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity in Calcutta before becoming a social worker for Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity. In 1996 he returned to Harvard and earned a Master’s degree in Development Studies (International Economics).

Rahul Gandhi- Political career:
Rahul Gandhi has been involved in politics since his college days. He joined politics as a full-timer when he was elected the General Secretary of the Indian National Youth Congress in 1998 at the age of 28. In 2004, Rahul Gandhi became an MP, representing the Amethi constituency in Uttar Pradesh, where he won the elections from 2004 to 2019.
Controversies and criticisms have marked Rahul Gandhi’s political career that he lacks leadership skills due to lack of experience and administrative capabilities. In 2019, he was appointed as the President of the Congress party after his mother stepped down from the position due to ill health.
