Actor Mukri is a recognised artist in Indian cinema who has worked in many Hindi films and has been specifically linked with comic roles.

Mukri’s Early Life: Muhammad Umar Mukri was born in a Kokani Muslim family in Uran. He was born on 5th January 1922. Together with renowned actor Dilip Kumar, he launched his film career in 1945 with the release of the movie Pratima. They had previously been classmates in school.

He subsequently appeared in more than 600 films throughout a 50-year career. With his crooked smile, small size, and impeccable comic timing, Mukri entertained audiences in more than 600 Bollywood films over more than six decades.
