Meta Slashes Prices on Quest 2 and Accessories: Meta has said that the prices of its mixed reality (MR) device Quest 2 and its add-ons will go down.
When Meta Quest 3 came out almost three months ago, the price dropped. The 128GB version starts at $499.99.

“We knew we could do even more to make VR more affordable and bring even more people into the community. That’s why we’re permanently lowering prices on Quest 2 and its accessories, effective January 1,” the company said in a statement.
The 256GB Quest 2 costs $299.99 and the 128GB Quest 2 costs $249.99.
The company also said that the prices of their refurbished units would go down. The refurbished 128GB Quest 2 SKUs would cost $229.99 and the refurbished 256GB SKUs would cost $269.99.

Meta has also cut the cost of things you need for Quest 2.

In September, the company released a new MR headset called Quest 3. It has 30% better visual clarity and 40% better sound range than Quest 2.
