Manoj Kumar Biography

Manoj Kumar Early Life and Education: Abbottabad is an Indian town in the North-West Frontier Province, where Kumar was born on July 24, 1937. The name Manoj Kumar was inspired by Dilip Kumar and Ashok Kumar when he was just a kid. Harikrishna Giri Goswami was his first name.

 When he was ten, the Partition forced his family to flee their home in Jandiala Sher Khan and relocate to Delhi. Vijay Nagar, Kingsway Camp, and eventually the Old Rajendra Nagar area of New Delhi were where he and his family lived as refugees.

 After completing his undergraduate studies at Hindu College, University of Delhi, he opted to pursue a career in movies. Bharat Kumar is a pseudonym given to him because of his work in patriotic films.

 Manoj Kumar Personal 

Shashi Goswami is the wife of Manoj Kumar. Vishal and Kunal are his children. Vishal and Kunal both tried to make it as actors and singers. His brother, Rajiv Goswami, was also a filmmaker, but none of them could get into Bollywood.

 Manoj Kumar Career 

An 80-year-old man was Manoj Kumar’s first film role in Fashion, which was released in 1957. Mannukkul Vairam was his directorial debut after working with Bharathiraja on several films.

Guru Paarvai, in which Prakash Raj starred, was one of many films he directed in the 1990s that received favorable reviews.

He tried to work with Prakash Raj and Prabhu on another film, Vasantha Kaalam, but the project was shelved due to funding issues.

Vijayakanth and Dileep were the stars of Vaanavil and Jaisurya and Raajjiyam medium-budget action pictures.

 While working on Arya in the mid-2000s, he also attempted to direct a film alongside Seeman, but it didn’t go further than the script stage.

As of 2013, Manoj Kumar was working with producer Kovai Thambi on a film project called Uyirukku Uyiraga, which was released in 2014. 

In addition to his work as a character artist, he has acted in Tamil films and television shows, most notably in the Colors TV series Thirumanam.

 It’s hard to forget his roles in such films as Hariyali Aur Raasta and Woh Kaun Thi? He’s also popular for his work on films like Do Badan and Upkar. He also appeared in films like Patthar Ke Sanam and Neel Kamal.

 Manoj Kumar Awards and Achievements

 He has won seven Filmfare Awards. The Indian government bestowed the Padma Shri on him in 1992. The Dadasaheb Phalke Accolade, India’s most prestigious film award, was bestowed upon him in 2015.
