Indian cricketer Krunal Himanshu Pandya (born 24 March 1991) competes for Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and Baroda in the local competition.

About Krunal Pandya: In November 2018, he made his debut for the Indian cricket team abroad. In 2021, he recorded the quickest cricketer half-century in an ODI. Pandya made his first-class debut on October 6, 2016, while representing Baroda in the 2016–17 Ranji Trophy competition. A few months later, he was the team’s top run-scorer and wicket-taker in the 2016–17 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

  • Throughout the eight games, his bowling average of 4/20 was the best. He participated in India A’s tri-series win over South Africa A and Afghanistan A in 2017.
  • With 366 runs in eight games, he was the top run scorer for Baroda in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy. He was included in India A’s roster for the 2018–19 Deodhar Trophy in October 2018. Pandya has been selected to lead Baroda in the 2019–2020 Vijay Hazare Trophy.
  • He was chosen to participate in the 2022 Royal London One-Day Cup for the Warwickshire County Cricket Club.

Krunal Pandya Indian Premier League 

  • Pandya was bought by Mumbai Indians for 2 crore at the 2016 IPL auction. In April 2016, he played his first IPL match at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium against the Gujarat Lions. 
  • Pandya was acquired by the Mumbai Indians in the 2018 IPL auction in January 2018.
  • In his second first-class match, he had scored 160 runs with 21 boundaries against Railways in the Ranji Trophy and was the top run scorer for Baroda in the first innings with a strike rate of 73.06.
  • Pandya’s was purchased by the Lucknow Super Giants for 8.25 crores during the 2022 IPL Auction.

  • He is Hardik Pandya’s older brother, another Indian cricketer.
  • In a ceremony on December 27, 2017, he wed Pankhuri Sharma. Kavir Krunal Pandya, the son of the couple, was born on July 24, 2022.
  • Indian cricketer Deepak Hooda withdrew from the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2021 after accusing Krunal Pandya of using “abusive language” and “threats to terminate his career” in a scathing letter he sent to the Baroda Cricket Association in January 2021. On July 27, 2021, he showed a COVID-19 positive test result.
  • Pandya announced that his wife had given birth to their son Kavir Pandya on July 24, 2022.
