Kevin ‘Geordie’ Walker Cause of death: Kevin Geordie Walker, who was the co-founder of the Killing Joke band, died of a stroke attack on Sunday, November 26, 2023, at 6:30 a.m. It is a great loss for the band, as they have lost the sole member of their team.

It was an ad put up by the band’s lead singer, Jaz Coleman, through which Walker joined Killing Joke in the 1970s. Walker and Coleman were the only band members who had been with the group from the start.

The news about Kevin’s death was confirmed by the Killing Joke Band in an official Instagram post. The post stated: “It is with extreme sadness we confirm that at 6:30 am on 26th November 2023 in Prague, Killing Joke’s legendary guitarist Kevin ‘Geordie’ Walker passed away after suffering a stroke, he was surrounded by family,” the band wrote alongside an image of Walker. “We are devastated. Rest In Peace brother.”

Kevin Geordie Walker’s contribution was a great advantage for the band; he played the role of guitarist and was a key part of their popularity. Walker’s guitar techniques included punk, industrial, metal and tribal.

People also knew him for the way he turned the low end of the guitar. Coleman says that one of the band’s early goals was to use style, sound, and form to show how beautiful the times were. He was in Killing Joke for a long time, and records like “Night Time” were famous for having hit songs like “Love Like Blood” and “Eighties.” He worked with groups like Murder, Inc. and the Damage Manual in addition to Killing Joke.

Charlatans’ Tim Burgess said this about Walker:  “His guitar sound defined my youth.” Acclaimed illustrator Daniel Danger said Walker’s guitar sound evoked “the power of all endless worlds across all endless time dancing at once, an earthquake deeper than the combined existence of everything”.
