Jassie Gill belongs to a Sikh family. Sardar Gurminder Singh and Ravinder Kaur are the parents of Gill. He has three older sisters. His eldest sister is a doctor. He did his schooling at Sant Ishar Singh Ji Memorial Public School, Karamsar Rara Sahib, Distt. Ludhiana went to Gobindgarh College in Punjab to pursue his graduation. He took physical education and music as his main subjects.
Jassie loved to sing from a very young age. He learned singing at the university from Professor Narinder Dhiman and participated in the Youth Festival. Gill was placed second in the competition 4 times in a row. After graduating, he moved to Australia and washed cars there to earn money. He used the money, he earned washing cars, to release his first song.
