Jasprit Bumrah Early Life: Bumrah was born in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to a Sikh Punjabi family who had relocated there from Punjab. Jasbir Singh, Bumrah’s father, passed away when Bumrah was only five years old. His mother, Daljit Bumrah, a school teacher in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, raised him in a middle-class environment during his formative years.

Bumrah is a first-class cricket player for Gujarat, and he made his debut in October 2013 against Vidarbha during the 2013–14 season.

Bumrah is a right-arm fast-medium pacer from Gujarat with an unorthodox bowling action. He made his Twenty20 debut in the 2012–13 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Maharashtra, and he also helped his side secure the trophy with his effort, which earned him the Man of the Match award. His bowling stats of 3/14 were a significant factor in Gujarat’s victory over Punjab in the championship match.

When Bumrah made his debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL), he faced Royal Challengers Bangalore and concluded with statistics of 3/32. This brought him immediate attention, and he was only 19 years old.

Even though Bumrah only appeared for Mumbai Indians in two matches during the Pepsi IPL 2013 season, the Mumbai Indians decided to keep him on their roster for the Pepsi IPL 2014 season.

As a result of his performance in the Twenty20 International (T20I) series against the West Indies in August 2016, he broke the record previously held by Dirk Nannes for most Twenty20 International wickets taken in a single calendar year with 28.

In a test match on July 2, 2022, Jasprit Bumrah hit 35 runs in an over that was bowled by Stuart Broad, breaking the record that Brian Lara had set 18 years earlier (who had scored 28 runs in an over).

In a One-Day International match against England on July 12, 2022, he took 6/19, India’s best statistic against England and the third-greatest figure for India in ODIs. He also ranked third among all ODI bowling figures.

According to the ICC’s rankings, Bumrah climbed to the top of the one-day international bowling rankings on July 17, 2022.

Bumrah rose to fame as a result of his unconventional actions. His run-up is brief, and the first portion consists of little strides taken in a jerky manner.
