“Finally startin to feel like myself,” Fox, 55, wrote on Instagram on Wednesday. He posted several pictures of himself wearing sunglasses and a knitted bucket hat standing in the doorway of a strange place. “It’s been an unexpected dark journey.”
Adding, “But I can see the light,” he ended the post with the sly hashtags #swipeleft #imbackandimbetter #nobaddays.
“I’m thankful to everyone that reached out and sent well wishes and prayers,” Foxx said. “U just don’t know how much it meant … and if you didn’t know … GOD IS GOOD … all day every day.”
In April, Foxx’s family said on Instagram that he had “experienced a medical complication” and was getting better. His daughter shared the post. No one has said much about the secret illness, but the Oscar-winning actor has been back in the public eye, causing a public debate. His new movie, the R-rated dog movie “Strays,” comes out Friday. Just over a month ago, his last movie, “They Cloned Tyrone,” came out.

Foxx said in an Instagram video from July, “I went through something that I thought I would never ever go through. I know a lot of people were waiting, wanting to hear updates, but to be honest with you, I just didn’t want you to see me … with tubes running out of me and trying to figure out if I was going to make it through.”
