Israel-Hamas war completes one month | IDF wreaks havoc in Gaza after Oct 7 Hamas attack

Written Posted on

Israel-Hamas war: It has been a month since the war between Israel and Hamas started. On this very day (October 7), Hamas terrorists attacked Israel. Hamas fired more than 5000 rockets at border cities of Israel. More than 1400 people have died in Israel in this attack by Hamas. Hamas terrorists took around 240 people with themselves and held them hostage. In response to Hamas’ attack, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) launched Operation ‘Iron Swords’ which created havoc in Gaza.

In this one month, Israel has bombed Gaza almost every day. The entire Gaza has been devastated by the Israeli attack. Israel is taking action on the ground in Gaza. More than 10,000 people have died so far in Gaza. Thousands of people have been injured. Along with Hamas fighters, thousands of civilians, including children were also killed in Israeli airstrikes.

Over 4,000 children killed

More than 4000 children have been killed in Gaza in the Israeli attack. The number of children and women is high in the death toll. The situation in northern Gaza remains more grave. More than 1.5 million Palestinians have been displaced in Gaza after Israeli attacks. The Israeli army has so far destroyed more than 2500 Hamas bases. People in Gaza have been suffering from a shortage of food, medicines, fuel and water.

It is difficult to say how long this war will last. This is the deadliest war since the establishment of Israel. More people have been killed in this one month in the Israel-Palestine conflict than killed in the last 15 years. According to the UN, From 2008-2023, 6407 Palestinians were killed while 308 Israelis died.

World divided into two parts after the war

The whole world has been divided into two parts to support either side. Western countries are supporting Israel, while Arab and Muslim countries are standing for Palestine. Arab and Muslim countries have claimed that Israel is committing genocide in Gaza. Several western countries including the US have said that Hamas is a terrorist organization and its elimination is necessary for peace.

Netanyahu refuses ceasefire

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not at all ready for a ceasefire in Gaza. He has clearly denied the rising request for a pause in the war. Netanyahu had recently said that a ceasefire in Gaza will not be declared until Hamas releases hostages. There will be no declaration of ceasefire in Gaza until the release of civilians.

Israel has accused Hamas of using civilians as human shields. Israel says that Hamas is using schools and hospitals as human shields in Gaza, therefore Israeli forces are destroying Hamas fighters and their bases. Netanyahu had said at the very beginning of the war that he would die only by completely destroying Hamas. Israeli attacks still continue in Gaza.
