IPL Auction 2024 Update: SRH and KKR Smash Records for Starc and Cummins

IPL Auction 2024 Update

IPL Auction 2024 Update: Mitchell Starc (Rs 24.75 crore) and Pat Cummins (Rs 20.5 crore) were the most expensive players bought at the Indian Premier League 2024 auction. Both Australians broke the record for the most expensive player bought at an IPL auction. Starc hasn’t played in the IPL since 2015. Kolkata Knight Riders decided to break the bank for him anyway, with a price of Rs 24.75 crore that won. Sundars Hyderabad paid a record Rs 20.5 crore to get Cummins as their captain, but Starc beat them to the pick.

At the same time, Chennai Super Kings spent a lot of money on Daryl Mitchell, paying Rs 14 crore for the New Zealander. Indian player Harshal Patel was the third most expensive pick at Rs 11.75 crore. Rachin Ravindra, who was the rising star of the recent Cricket World Cup, was bought by CSK for Rs 1.8 crore.

Steven Smith, Josh Hazlewood, Jimmy Neesham, and Karun Nair from India were not sold. On Tuesday, the names of 332 players were spelled out at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. This was the last step for the 10 teams as they finished putting together their teams for the next season.
