Introduction to Humaira Channa: The term “Humera Channa” is almost interchangeable with “current Pakistani music” whenever the subject is modern Pakistani musical styles. She started developing her musical abilities at an early age by reciting naats to her professors, who often commented on how much they liked hearing her lovely voice.

She was born on 22nd June 1970, in Lahore. She began reciting naats to her instructors while she was in elementary school. Because Humera was blessed from birth with a voice that is  entrancing,

it was inevitable that she would ultimately hone her skills and attempt to make a profession as a singer at some point of time in the future.

The early life of Humaira Channa

Since her father was also an actor in Pakistani films, Humaira Channa decided to follow in his footsteps and become one as well. She made her debut as a singer in a film that her father was directing when she was just nine years old, and she subsequently sang Sufi traditional melodies on Pakistani television in Karachi. In the early 1990s, she began to achieve widespread fame.

She is multilingual, singing in Urdu, Punjabi, Saraiki, and Sindhi. In the course of her career, which started in the early 1970s when she began singing professionally, she has sung in, over a thousand songs.

Career of Humaira Channa

When Naheed Akhtar decided to settle down and retire from the Pakistani film industry in the 1980s, Humaira Channa came in as a replacement singer. Naheed Akhtar had worked with Humaira Channa before. In 2017, several of Pakistan’s most well-known playback singers voiced their dissatisfaction with the decline in employment opportunities brought on by the rise of pop artists and music bands in the country’s film industry at the expense of the film songs for which they are best known. Her musical travels have brought Humaira Channa to many different countries and continents.
