Hayley Erbert Health: Hayley Erbert, Derek Hough‘s wife, had emergency surgery nine days ago for a brain hematoma. The Dancing with the Stars judge then shared a report on her health.
On Friday, December 15, Hough posted a video on Instagram of him and Hayley Erbert going away from the camera while holding hands. They were heading toward the Washington Monument. In the clip, Erbert’s head is wrapped in a bandage, but you can’t see her face.
Hough said that Erbert was taken to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery on December 7.
The tumour in Hayley Erbert’s brain happened while they were performing in Washington, D.C., on December 6 as part of their Symphony of Dance tour, Hough said on Instagram.
In an Instagram post, Derek said that Hayley was in “stable condition” after her treatment. Derek posted something on social media on December 8 to let fans know what was going on.

Hayley Erbert Health: New Update about her health in a video
“At the end of last night’s tour performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,” he wrote at the time. “She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition.
Because of this, Hough has given more information about his wife’s health and thanks people for their help and support after the surgery.
The professional dancer most recently said that Erbert is “doing well” and that her healing “has been nothing short of a miracle.”
The dancer said that Erbert, who is 29 years old, will need another surgery in a few weeks that will include putting in a brain implant. “Replace the piece [of the skull] that was removed during the craniectomy,” he said about the skull implant.
About Hayley Erbert’s health, In Hough’s Instagram post, there was a video of the two of them going to the National Mall in Washington, D.C. After their Symphony of Dance tour stop there, Erbert had signs of a brain hematoma.

In his post, the thankful husband thanked his fans for their support and said he was thankful that Erbert was getting good medical care.
“It’s been a profound reminder of how fragile life can be and how quickly things can change,” he wrote. “But, it has also shown us the incredible strength and resilience that lies within us and the power of having a supportive community around us.”
What Is Cranial Hematoma?
A cranial hematoma, which is also called an intracranial hematoma, is blood inside the brain. A blow to the head causes most brain hematomas. Falls, assaults, car crashes, and sports injuries are some of the things that can cause these injuries.
Hematomas can hurt brain cells by putting pressure on it. Doctors put hematomas into groups based on when and how much they bleed.
