Former Trump Official Mike Gill in DC Carjacking Chaos: Mike Gill, a former official in the Trump administration, was seriously hurt in a carjacking spree in Washington, D.C., on Monday night. This was one of a string of violent events in D.C. and suburban Maryland that ended with the sad death of another driver. Gill was the first person hurt in this string of crimes. The person cops say was responsible for these crimes was later shot and killed.
Gill was waiting outside of his wife’s workplace to pick her up when the suspect came up to him. Around 5:45 PM, Gill was shot while he was in his car by someone else. Even though Gill was able to get out of his car, he soon passed out from his injuries.

Gill was helped by witnesses and his wife, who quickly arrived at the scene, until emergency services came. Gill was hurt so badly that she could not survive, and she was said to be in very serious condition after the attack.

Who is Mike Gill?
People know Mike Gill for the important things he has done in politics and public service. His job was to be the chief of staff to J. Christopher Giancarlo, who was the head of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) at the time, from 2016 to 2019.
He was also the chief operating officer for the same organization. After working for Trump in the government, Gill went into the private sector in 2020, but he still kept involved in politics. He was a Republican representative on the D.C. Board of Elections for seven years and just finished his term.
