Farooq Shaikh Introduction: Farooq Shaikh (March 25, 1948 – December 28, 2013) was an Indian film actor who worked mostly in the 1970s and 1980s. His main contribution was to Parallel Cinema, also known as New Indian Cinema. He has collaborated with filmmakers such as Satyajit Ray, Muzaffar Ali, Hrishikesh Mukherjee, and Ketan Mehta.

Farooq Shaikh has appeared in numerous comedies on television and on stage, including Tumhari Amrita (1992).

Shaikh Farooq was a true, multifaceted personality, as simple in his portrayal as he was sophisticated as an actor. Sheikh, a well-known television host and philanthropist entered the world of histrionics through theatre. A family legacy of lawyers also compelled Shaikh Farooq to investigate the world of law, which he eventually had to abandon as he discovered his true calling.

Shaikh Farooq married Rupa Jain, whom he courted for nine years before marrying. Shaista and Sanaa are his two daughters.

Shaikh was born in Amroli Dist. Baroda to Mustafa Shaikh, a Mumbai lawyer, and Farida Shaikh. His family was Zamindari, and he was raised in opulent surroundings.

Shaikh Farooq attended St Mary’s School in Mumbai and then St. Xavier’s College in Mumbai. Siddharth College of Law was where he studied law. Farooq studied film and television at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune.

Farooq Shaikh commenced his profession in theatre, running with IPTA and famous administrators, including Sagar Sarhadi. Garam Hawa, his first fundamental movie role, was in 1973. He went on to appear in films such as Satyajit Ray’s Shatranj Ke Khiladi (Chess Players) (1977), Noorie (1979), Chashme Buddoor (1981), and Kissi Se Na Kehna (1983). (1983).

He appeared in fewer films in the 1990s, with his most recent appearances in Lahore (2010) and Saas Bahu Aur Sensex (2012). (2008).

Farooq Shaikh hosted the popular television show “Jeena Issi ka naam hai,” where he interviewed many Bollywood celebrities.

Farooq Shaikh Death

Farooq Shaikh died of a heart attack in Dubai early on December 28, 2013. He went on holiday together with his circle of relatives in Dubai.
