Almost all jobs will be affected by AI in some way, according to Adecco CEO Denis Machuel. “AI can kill jobs or create jobs.”

Over the next decade, the balance between jobs created by AI and jobs destroyed will be balanced between jobs created by AI and jobs destroyed by AI, he said.

According to a recent World Economic Forum poll, half of respondents said AI would create new jobs across 18 industries.

There have been layoffs at Google, Microsoft, Dropbox, and Duolingo due to AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Gemini.

The Adecco survey estimates that generative AI could eliminate or significantly impact 300 million jobs globally within five years.
