About Niti Aayog: The NITI Aayog is the Government of India’s apex public policy think tank and the nodal agency tasked with catalyzing economic development and fostering cooperative federalism by involving State Governments of India in the economic policy-making methodology from the bottom up.

Objectives Of Niti Aayog
- With the active participation of states, establish a common vision of national development priorities, sectors, and strategies.
- To promote cooperative federalism continuously through formalized developmental projects and mechanisms with the states, recognizing that strong states make a strong nation.
- Develop mechanisms for developing credible plans at the village level and gradually aggregate these at higher levels of government.
- To ensure that national security interests are incorporated into economic strategy and policy in areas where they are specifically mentioned.
- Pay special attention to the segments of our society that may be disadvantaged by economic progress.
- Designing strategic and long-term strategy and system frameworks and initiatives and monitoring their progress and efficacy. Lessons from monitoring and feedback will be applied to make innovative improvements, including mid-course corrections.
- To provide advice and encourage collaboration between key stakeholders and like-minded think tanks on a national and international scale, as well as educational and policy research institutions.
- Establish a cooperative society of national and international experts, practitioners, and partners to support knowledge, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
