JEE Main 2024: Registration begins, check revised syllabus, topics eliminated

JEE Mains 2024: The National Testing Agency has started registrations for JEE Main 2024. Along with this, an information brochure and detailed syllabus have also been released. As already said, NTA has also reduced the syllabus of JEE Main 2024. With this, candidates will now appear for the exam with a changed and less syllabus. Before knowing about the exam, let us know from which subjects the topics have been removed and which topics are these.

Topics removed from Maths

  • Mathematical Inductions
  • Mathematical Reasoning
  • Some topics were removed from Three Dimensional Geometry

Topics removed from Physics

  • Communication Systems
  • Some topics from experimental skills

Topics removed from Chemistry

  • States of Matter
  • Surface Chemistry
  • s-Block Elements
  • Hydrogen
  • Environmental Chemistry
  • Polymers
  • Chemistry in Everyday Life
  • General Principles and Processes of Isolation of Metals
  • Thomson and Rutherford’s atomic models and their limitations
  • Physical quantities and their measurements in Chemistry, precision, and accuracy, significant figures.

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Pattern: No. of questions

In the notice issued in this regard, it has been said that the syllabus has definitely been reduced but the number of questions to be asked in each subject is still the same. The number of questions has not changed. That means, 25-25 questions have to be asked in Physics, Chemistry and Maths as per the instructions. Choices have been given in every subject of every section of Part One of Paper One and Paper 2A and 2B.

JEE Mains 2024 Exam Date

According to the information given in the schedule, the last date to apply for JEE Main 2024 is 30 November 2023. The examination for January session will be conducted between 24 January to 1 February 2024. The second session will be organized between April 1 and April 15, 2024.
